I needed replacement Y048 keys for a bike carrier made by SportRack and etrailer had them. I received them in Canada in about 5 days at a reasonable cost. I received the key I order for my Sportrack ski/snow board carrier. The key number is 013. However the key won't be able to insert into the key hole. Could you help me to solve the problem. I have attached photos of the lock.

The original keys that came with the SportRack systems were slightly shorter than the replacement options. There is a notch inside the lock core that may make it difficult in fully the replacement key into the lock core. You may need to tap the key into the lock with a rubber mallet to fully the key. This only needs to be done the first time you use the key.

Wouldn't even go in the lock. Ended up spending $35 at a locksmith to make a key.

The key worked great. I also bought the hardware for mounting my cargo box to my Jeep and it went flawlessly. Thank you guys/girls over at etrailer you are great.     They are two possible key options for your 016 lock on your Sportrack Roof Rack # SR1002. The Replacement Key for Thule and Sportrack Racks and Carriers - N016 # THKEYN016 is a possible fit but the Replacement Key for Sportrack Racks and Carriers - Y016 # THKEYY016 is also a possibility. I would get one of each and one will work. If you choose to drill out the lock core instead, be really careful to not drill outside the core and damage the rack.
