Is The Composite Or Steel Demco EZ Latch Coupler A Better Choice Over The Other?

E z latch comes in a metal Handle or composite Handle which is the better design ?

Personally I prefer the Demco Trailer Coupler # DM14976-52 with the composite handle over the Coupler # DM15791-81 with a metal handle. I feel it is easier to operate as it does not have the safety latch like you get on the metal handle. Since most trailers are always outside the safety latch tends to get some corrosion in the handle and can become difficult to open.

Both these couplers will need the Hardware Kit # DM6166 to mount to a 3" channel. You will need a locking pin like the etrailer Adjustable Trailer Coupler Latch Lock # e98883 to secure the trailer coupler to your hitch ball.
