Note: (4) 5/8" Grade 5 mounting bolts must be used to achieve the 21,000-lb weight capacity
This coupler features a simple-to-use latching mechanism known as the eZ-Latch. With this mechanism, hooking up is as easy as dropping the coupler over your trailer hitch ball. The latch does not need to be tugged or manually activated to allow the ball into the coupler socket, nor does it have to be secured in place. Just make sure that the coupler is properly lined up with the ball when you lower it, and the rest is automatic. Disengaging the coupler is just as effortless. Simply lift up the handle and the coupler socket will automatically release its grip on the ball.
The contoured, low-profile design of the latch handle helps protect the coupler from damage by allowing any potential hazards - from debris on the road to your ball mount backing into the coupler - to simply slide over the top. This helps prevent anything from getting under the latch handle and releasing the ball, and it can also limit any damage to the coupler should an impact occur
Unlike most couplers, which have a pin hole on the handle latch, the eZ-Latch coupler features a hole on the side of the coupler itself. Inserting a coupler lock through this hole will keep the latch from lifting, preventing disconnect and theft.
Made of sturdy steel, this coupler features a durable zinc coating that is designed to limit rust and corrosion. This finish has a 300-hour salt spray rating, allowing it to stand up to the elements.
The eZ-Latch's sleek, ergonomically designed handle is constructed of an impact-resistant polymer-nylon-resin compound that provides the flexibility and strength needed to bounce back from a collision. The handle is corrosion-proof, allowing it to withstand whatever the road and the elements dish out.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a look at this Demco Trailer Coupler. This cast ball coupler is gonna let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle, giving you a connection point for your 2 5/16 inch hitch ball. The easy latch mechanism is going to ensure simple, secure hookups and disconnect, letting you hook up when the latch is in closed position and you're just going to drop the coupler over the hitch ball and the latch will snap into play. So I have a 2 5/16 inch hitch ball here. I just want to give you an example of that.
Obviously, this is going to work a little bit easier and a little bit smoother when you have this installed, but I'm just gonna show you how this can connect with the latch down. (metal thudding) So as you can see you, you're not gonna have to have that latch up and it's going to provide that secure connection for you. And then just lift this up for an easy release, and it's gonna be just as simple as that. The corrosion-proof polymer nylon resin composite latch handle is durable and impact-resistant, and the sleek low profile design is going to allow hazards to simply slip over the top of the coupler, preventing damage to latch components. Now the adjustable channel mount is going to let you change the coupler's height depending on your application.
And the channel bracket and mounting hardware are sold separately, but you can find it here at etrailer.com. And this is going to mount into a three inch wide channel bracket. And the holes, the mounting holes are 5/8 of an inch in diameter. And let me see if I can line my ruler up here to give you the measurements of those mounting holes on center. So as you can see, center to center, they're sitting right at two inches.
Now this coupler is made here in the U.S.A. of a sturdy steel construction that offers a weight capacity of 21,000 pounds. I do wanna make an important note that four 5/8 of an inch grade 5 mounting bolts must be used to achieve that 21,000 pound weight capacity. The zinc finish is going to give you great corrosion resistance, giving you a 300-hour salt spray rating. This is SAE J684 certified.
And let me get my ruler again and give you some overall measurements here of this coupler, just so you can be aware of the size. So lining this up as best as I can. The overall length, we're sitting a little over eight inches, it looks like, probably about 8 1/8 inches long. And then looking at the width, again, this is gonna fit in your three inch channel. So as you can see, this is about 2 7/8 inches wide. And you can run a lock through here. And that lock pin hole is 5/16 of an inch. And you'll need to make sure that if you do pick up a pin lock, it has a minimum span of three inches. Well, that's gonna conclude our brief look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
