I have a 2011 Ram 1500 that has the 4.7 V8 motor. Can I tow a 6000 lb fifth wheel?

Without knowing the bed length, which rear gears, trim level, whether the truck is 4x4 or 4x2 and the cab configuration, I wouldn't be able to provide a hard and fast maximum towing capacity because there's too many variables involved, but in my research, the lowest towing capacity I found for a 2011 Ram with the 4.7L V8 engine was 6950 lbs for a Crew Cab 4x4 SLT/TRX/Big Horn/Lone Star edition with Ramboxes. So, worst case scenario that would be your maximum.

Your truck should be able to tow that fifth wheel, with no problem, but there are some available products that would make towing that load easier on your truck. A 6000 lb fifth wheel would exert around 1500 lbs of pin weight on the rear axle of your truck. A suspension enhancement product like the Timbren # TDR1500DQ which replaces your jounce bumpers is recommended to prevent your rear suspension from being compressed and negatively affecting the truck's handling. This kit fits all but regular cab models. For a regular cab, use # TDR1500DS.

Since at the worst case, you'll be within 85% of the truck's towing capacity I'd also recommend a transmission cooler like # D13504 if the truck isn't already equipped with one. A cooler provides inexpensive protection for your transmission, especially if you'll be driving in mountainous areas.
