Purpose of Trailer Junction Box

Question:

Hello I’m looking to have a more organized setup for working on a trailer. At this moment there is a battery that everything is hooked into. Would the junction box just be a replacement for the battery ?

The # 38656 Junction Box won't take the place of a trailer mounted battery, but it provides a protected and organized method of connecting the wires from the trailer connector pigtail to all the various lighting, power and brake circuits on the trailer. If you watch the linked video, you can see exactly how they're used.
