We have everything that you need to tow a boat trailer with your 2008 Kia Sportage. In addition to the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch, # 13526, that you referenced, you will also need the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, # 118401.

We have installed this hitch and wiring harness on a 2008 Kia Sportage at our shop so I linked the videos for you to check out. I have also attached the installation instructions.

One final item that I would recommend is the Ball Mount Kit, # 989900. This kit includes two different ball mounts to accommodate different trailer heights, two hitch ball sizes that will allow you hook up to multiple trailers, a pin and clip and a storage bag to keep all of your towing parts together.

I have attached a help article that explains how to choose the correct ball mount to tow your trailer level.

If your boat trailer has surge brakes, then you will also want a 4 Pole to 5 Pole Adapter, # 20036, to provide a reverse lockout feature that will allow you to back up your trailer without the trailer brakes locking up. This adapter includes an additional blue wire that will need to be ran to the reverse light circuit on your vehicle. I have attached a video of how to install the 4 pole to 5 pole adapter.
