I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit part # C53HR for the 2019 Volvo XC90 because of it's concealed cross tube design for a nice clean looking install. The only portion of the hitch that is visible once installed is the square receiver tube. I have attached installation instructions for your reference.

For the wiring, I recommend Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118683. The Tekonsha brand wiring has proven to be more reliable and durable than the other brands especially the converters. This wiring harness will give you a 4-Pole flat on the Volvo to illuminate trailer lights. I have attached an installation video for your reference.
