How Does Brake Controller Install in 2025 Volvo XC90 PHEV

Question:
I have a 2025.5 Volvo XC90 PHEV with the manufacturer tow package. Im at the point where I need to install a proportional brake controller for frequent use of a 2 axle trailer. Since the vehicle came with the tow package, is the wiring already set up to accommodate a brake controller? If so, where might I find the connector? Id like to avoid the RF/bluetooth controllers if at all possible.

Hey Julie, I did some checking and it looks like your 2025 Volvo XC90 is not pre-wired for a brake controller so you'd have to hardwire in a proportional controller like the P3 part # 90195. So I know you said you have the tow package, what trailer wiring do you have at the rear of the vehicle?
