Question:

Looking for a winch mount to fit my 04 Toyota 4runner sport edition 4.7lt v8 5 speed auto w/od has a center differential lock, torsen0 LSD, not sure what the rear diff is I know I have 3.73 gear ratio, rear live axle, front is IFS with cv axle shafts not sure if its LSD or not as it has Active Trac control, x-reas stability control etc. I cant find a aftermarket bumper or a hidden winch mount or even a front class 3 reciever hitch that I could use a 2inch square tube with winch mount tray. Any suggestions the 04 seems to be in a 1yr for parts even though gen 4s are 03 to 09 with 05 having upgrades like rr diff lock, e-locker n can add a ff diff lock e-locker that came out in the 08 TRD or off rd pkg. I have a couple solutions that may work for you, since, like you pointed out, there are no custom fit front mount hitches, winch mounts or bumpers for your 2004 Toyota 4Runner.

One option is to use the Bulldog Winch Universal Winch Mounting Plate, # BDW20008. You will need to find a sturdy location on your 4Runner and drill mounting holes to bolt the plate. You also have the option to weld it in place for a permanent installation. The # BDW20008 is designed to fit the a 10 x 4-1/2 mounting bolt pattern, found on many electric winches.

The only other option I can come up with would also require you to find a solid mounting structure to either bolt or weld on the Buyers Products Black Receiver Tube # 3371804055 to the front of your 4Runner. With that in place, you can use a Winch Receiver Mount Kit, like # BDW20155.
