I was wondering if part number would fir my 2003 4runner, it says it fits 07-09 but I believe the frames went unchanged since 2003 correct? part # 31367

Hey Trenton thanks for the question. You are correct that the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch # 31367 technically is not a confirmed fit for the 2003 Toyota 4Runner. Per the manufacturer it is only made for 2007-2009 models.

That being said, we have had several of our customers report back to us and say that the # 31367 hitch can be made to fit model years prior to 2007. I have included a few screenshots of some customer reviews below. It sounds like in both cases the hitch was successfully installed on a 2006 4Runner. In one case a few of the bolt holes needed to be elongated. It sounds like in the other case the tow hooks needed to be relocated.

Since there is no custom fit option for the 2003 4Runner, the # 31367 hitch is definitely going to be your best bet for a front hitch. As long as you are willing to tweak/modify things a bit I believe it can be made to fit. Just keep in mind that we cannot accept a return if the hitch has been modified.
