The pin diameter of the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock for Kuat Transfer Bike Racks # HLT is 3/8" and threads into the bike rack and not the hitch which is why it can fit either 1-1/4" or 2" hitch sizes.

Kuat and bike rack manufacturers don't like to give that info out but will if needed. Reason being they don't want people trying to use their locks and hitch pins on bike racks they weren't tested on since that's typically why people…

If you are using the Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack for 1 Bike #KU64FR for a 2-inch hitch, I confirmed with Kuat that you will need the #HL1 because of the 1-1/4 adapter sleeve that comes with the rack.
