265/65-18 on 2015 Chevy 1500. I want to put chains on the rear axle: will these v bar chains scratch my rims?

I have an option for you, but the # TC2828CAM are not the correct ones for your 265/65-18 tire size.
For a similar style of tire chain that also features the V-Bars, I recommend the Glacier V-Bar Snow Tire Chains with Cam Tighteners # PWH2828SC. While these do not offer any kind of rim protection, when we test fitted these chains on a similar Silverado 1500 with 265/65-18 tires (see photo), we found that the chains don't drape far enough to come in contact with the rims. So, as long as the # PWH2828SC are properly fitted on the tire and you don't exceed the 30 mph speed limit, they should not cause any damage to your rims.
Although the Glacier chains feature built-in cam tighteners, it's a good idea to also pick up a pair of rubber adjusters like # PW105 to keep proper tension on the chains at all times.
Otherwise, the only set of tire chains that feature built-in rim protection for your Silverado with 265/65-18 tires are the Konig Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - D Link - XG12 Pro # TH01594267. I've included videos for both at the bottom of the page for you as well.
