How are the hydraulics affected when you are backing the trailer? Do you have to disengage the actuator?

The Dexter DX7.5 Drop-N-Go Brake Actuator # 099-175-20 that you referenced has an electric reverse lock out which allows the brakes to deactivate when you go in reverse.
