Removing Titan Model 10 Master Cylinder on Welded A-Frame Actuator
Updated 10/21/2019 | Published 10/19/2019 >
Question:
How is the master cylinder removed from model 10 actuator. My 97 Heritage boat trailer has tandem drum brakes. The actuator is the weld on type. I pulled both pins to remove the hitch assembly. I can't see any bolts that hold the master cylinder, other then the ones in the cradle spring housing. Thanks

The bolts/nuts that are securing the master cylinder to the actuator on your 1997 Heritage Boat Trailer are between the welded-on portion of the A-frame and the actuator. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but this unfortunately means that the arms from the A-frame will need to be cut off so you can access these bolts and remove the cylinder. The frame would then need to be welded back on once everything is back in place.
For the right replacement master cylinder you can use the Titan Model 10 # DX66FR.
