Do I need tools to remove just the head - then rest of hitch for storage? Is there a video on this?

While we don't have a video that details how the head of the Reese Titan hitch part # RP30866 removes I did attach an exploded diagram that shows how all of the pieces of the hitch assemble to help with disassembly.
The hitch really wasn't intended for easy disassembly when installing and removing the hitch so if you can find a strong buddy to help move the hitch that would probably be the easiest solution. The B and W Patriot # BWRVK3200 on the other hand does have a much easier head removal as it was designed for what you mentioned.
