Difficulty Turning Key in Swagman Replacement Locking Knob

Question:

I have a very difficult time getting the lock key to turn once I have tightened the lock. Once I do get it locked it is very difficult to turn the key to unlock it. Is there some trick to this or is the lock defective. I this point I have stopped using it.

We have not had any customer feedback with regards to the type of difficulty you're having locking and unlocking the Swagman Locking Knob # P1040, so it may indeed be in need of a replacement. With that being said the key may just need to be inserted a bit more to engage with the mechanism. Try sliding the key in like normal and then give it one more push, wiggling it a bit as you do so, to see if this does the trick.

If this doesn't help at all then I do recommend replacing it with a new unit.
