If your 2012 Cadillac SRX came with a factory tow package, you would use wiring # 118259 as a replacement for a damaged or lost factory harness. If the vehicle did not come with a tow package, you will need to use wiring kit # C59496. This is a hardwire kit. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you and a video that might help. I have also included a link to an FAQ article on routing the power wire.
