  The Optronics Flexible LED Light Strip # UCL90CB is definitely 3/8" wide so it will be too wide for your awning, but you could still clean the side of your camper and mount this directly to the wall if you wish, that way you can use it without having to completely open up your awning. I looked at some of our other options and they look to be too large as well so we don't have anything that will be a direct replacement for that channel in your Carefree awning tube.

  The width of the Optronics Flexible LED Light Strip # UCL90CB is about 3/8". I have attached a review video where we take this measurement for you to check out. To help remove the 3M adhesive I recommend using some heat like a hair dryer or something similar. You may need to use a tool to scrap the adhesive off as well. I'd try using something that is plastic or rubber to help avoid scratching anything.
