Can the Bulb Inside the Optronics Backup Light BU45CB Be Replaced

Question:

I tried to replace bulb but this unit is sealed and can NOT be opened?? Thus you must replace the whole lite fixture? This is totally bad engineering. Lucky replacement part is under $ bucks until you ate at the state inspection and they want to charge you $ bucks for part and labor

Correct, the bulb inside the Optronics Backup Light part # BU45CB is not replaceable because this is a submersible light therefore sealed. I would not really call this bad engineering as it was designed this way for a reason. If you were to replace the bulb you would have to break the seal and then the light would no longer be submersible.
