How to Determine if 2007 Nissan Frontier has Tow Package
Updated 06/18/2019 | Published 06/17/2019 >
Question:
I bought this kit Curt C56226 and recieved it the other day. According to other posts Ive seen, if my truck has the factory wiring harness I wont need to install the relays by the passenger side kick panel, just the harness at the rear. So how do I tell if my truck has the factory wiring harness? I opened up the smaller fuse box on the passenger side under the hood and I see two blue relays for Trail Turn R Hand and Trail Turn L Hand, does this mean I have the factory tow package or will I also need to install the relays that came with the kit? Looks like the kit has a third larger brown relay that I didnt find under the hook.

Your 2007 Nissan Frontier will have the tow package, as will all models, and the reason there are relays with the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 7-Way Trailer Connector # C56226 is that they will activate that tow package.
You do need to install the relays when you are using this wiring harness and if you go to the 2:30 mark of the linked installation video of this harness on an '08 Frontier (which will be the same as the install on your '07), you can see where the relays need to go.
