What Frame Holes Need to be Enlarged to Install Curt Hitch on 2019 Chrysler Pacifica

Question:

I have a 2019 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. The Curt instructions show a place where 2 vehicle frame holes should be enlarged in a photo on page 3. These are a round hole and a square hole. It also says see enlargement diagram. The enlargement diagram on page 6 shows an oval hole being enlarged to 1inch diameter. The only oval holes seem to be on the hitch itself. So, these two pages seem to give conflicting directions about what holes should be enlarged. Is it the frame or the hitch? Any guidance would be appreciated.

For the Curt hitch part # C13383 that you referenced you do have to enlarge holes on the driver side frame rail to fit the hitch on the hybrid models of the 2019 Chrysler Pacifica. I attached a picture that shows this. The picture on the left shows the square before picture and after you can see the shapes of the holes is a bit rounder.

The only holes that would ever need to be enlarged to install a trailer hitch would be on the vehicle. None of the hitches we offer will require you to modify them before you install them.
