Features to know about

Get More Out of Your Vehicle: Class III Strength with 2" Receiver

This Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver gives you solid hauling capability and accessory support. With a 2" x 2" receiver opening and Class III rating, it can handle up to 4,000 lbs gross trailer weight and 400 lbs tongue weight. When used with weight distribution, those limits rise to 5,000 lbs GTW and 500 lbs TW. That means it’s ready for the everyday stuff—mounting a bike rack, hauling a small trailer, or adding a cargo carrier for road trips.

Built to Last: Fully Welded Steel with Corrosion-Resistant Coating

The hitch is made from sturdy, fully welded steel that’s both strong and dependable. A gloss black powder coat finish is layered over a protective base coat for superior rust resistance, so it stands up to years of weather exposure and road grime. The round-tube design keeps it looking clean under the bumper while adding strength where it counts.

Straightforward Install: Bolt-On Design and Included Hardware

No need for welding or frame drilling—the hitch bolts directly onto the frame using the included hardware kit. All mounting parts are provided, along with installation instructions, making it easy to install in a driveway or garage with standard tools. Trimming of the heat shield may be needed, but no fascia cutting is required. It’s a setup that fits precisely and goes on without surprises.

Ready for Everyday Use: Compatible with Common Towing Gear

Because it uses a 2" receiver tube, this hitch works with most ball mounts, bike racks, and cargo carriers on the market. Ball mount, pin, and clip are sold separately, so you can choose exactly what fits your towing or accessory needs best. With its tested capacity and clean fitment, it’s an easy way to expand what your vehicle can do day to day.

Works perfect with my van. Im able to have cargo on the basket and still be able to open my lift gate. Use it all the time for camping and family trips.

by:

Working great on my Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid van! The mechanic had to do a little extra problem solving to get it to fit - but it did fit and it has been awesome!

@Kate Niiice! We're glad the hitch is working well for you!

by:

While the receiver generally fit and looks good, it did have a problem with the 2019 Pacifica Touring L. On the drivers side, there was a hole provided to fit over an unused grounding bolt that didn’t align. If I had access to a heavy duty drill press, it would have easy to redrilled a hole in the proper location. I did not so I was left with needing to grind and chisel away the bolt. Also, it was very difficult to reinstall the rearmost exhaust hanger due to the close proximity of the receiver support and the configuration of the hanger.

by:

This is our second trailer hitch bought from etrailer. The service is great, the quality of the hitch is good. We would buy again from this company.

by:

Great hitch. I did need help installing it (I didn't have the proper jacks or the torque wrench). Tucks in nicely and holds my 4X bike rack like a champ

by:

The trailer hitch itself is great - no complaints at all about quality, even after over a year! My one issue was simply that it didn't fit my chrysler pacifica hybrid (granted it was a newer hybrid that may not have been as well known) as promised without me making a small (but annoying) modification to my frame. Once that was done, all worked well, but it took much longer start to finish than expected.

by:

Had my mechanic install this hitch on my 2019 Pacifica. He said it was a super easy install - no issues. Arrived earlier than expected. The receiver doesn't stick out very far as I expected from the photos, but we are still able to get large mountain bikes on our Kuat rack without the handlebars being too close to the van, in other words, it sticks out far enough for a bike rack.

by:

Shipped quickly. Recognized brand. My local store recommended the etrailer website and then I ordered this product from them. Happy with the purchase!

Great!

by:

The hitch is strong and well made. Been lugging my bikes and ebikes with no issues at all.

I only rated it 4 stars because installation of hitch was a bit difficult because the holes did not line up. I needed to spread the hitch out with a jack because the way it sat in the warehouse, the metal shifted.

But overall it’s a good hitch.
.

by:

This hitch is great! It is exactly what I needed for my hybrid Chrysler Pacifica 2018. I was able to install it myself with the instructions provided and I use it very often to transport my 4 bike rack and also a platform for extra storage. It looks great on our minivan!

by:

My only complaint about the hitch itself is that there is a small hole on the drivers side to accommodate a screw with a nut on the bottom of the car and the hole in the hitch is too small for the nut. I have done this job on a Dodge Caravan a couple of times before and found the Pacifica to be much more involved. First the bolts had to be installed into the frame of the car, then all the covers on the bottom of the car that needed to be removed, modified and reinstalled. It was a long and difficult process to do alone and without a lift. A floor jack is a must to lift the hitch and hold it in place while you put the nuts on and to take the drivers rear wheel off. There are 3 screws in the wheel well that hold the cover onto the rear bottom of the car.

by:

I installed this hitch receiver on my 2020 Chrysler Pacifica Limited about a year ago. The receiver itself is great and I’ve used it many times - mostly for bike racks. The install took about 2 hours with 2 people and the instructions were excellent. Highly recommend!

by:

I installed this on a 2018 Pacifica Hybrid. Mostly smooth sailing, except for 1 hiccup. I didn’t read the paper directions first, just watched the install video. Didn’t realize that there is a slightly different installation process for the hybrid, which the manufacturer recommends grinding the holes in the frame slightly larger to allow it to sit further back and avoid contact with the carbon canister on the driver side. Since I already had the hitch in place once I realized this issue, I searched some Pacifica owner forums and found an alternate solution, which involved slightly modifying the bracket which mounts the carbon canister to allow space for the hitch bolts. Wasn’t very hard, just a little extra time/work to figure it out. It would be nice for e-trailer to add a hybrid-specific install video.
All told, install took about 3 hours for 2 fairly handy dudes, including searching forums and such. Final installation looks pretty clean.

by:

I have used this trailer on our Pacifica Hybrid for three road trips around the midwest, the product has only been used for a bike rack as the Pacifica Hybrid is not rated for towing.

The hitch has performed well with the vehicle. It did not sway or create any odd sounds. The one disadvantage is the hands-free lift gate sensors are blocked by some of the hitch and that function of the vehicle is impaired by the hitch. If that is not an issue for you this hitch is a great fit for those who want a fuel efficient van and the ability to haul some bikes on a rack.

by:

Package was tore up

by:

Hitch itself was fine but the packaging from etrailer was not good enough. Hitch was poking out of the box and had some of its protective paint damaged.

by:

Great product. Easy install. No drilling. Perfect fit.

by:

Very well made.

by:

The Package came off UPS truck totally trashes...besides a few scratches, I still used it.

by:

Got this for a 2018 Pacifica Hybrid. Installation instructions were great, but it was a tough, two man job.

Unfortunately the receiver is does not stick out far enough from the bumper. As the hybrids are not rated for towing the primary use for the hitch is going to be bike racks, and with our 4 bike 1-UP in the stow position the rack winds up being too close to the car to open the hatch...not an issue on any of our other cars (prius v, forester). Receiver really needs to come out another 3" to edge of bumper. We can still make it work, just not perfect.

by:

Installation was straightforward, albeit time consuming -- working solo it took me between 3 and 4 hours. The video instructions are excellent.

Notching the front foot on the hybrid's canister bracket was not obvious to me at first, so that took some trial and error. Also, make sure that the extruded U-nut for the rear foot is aligned with its hole before you torque the driver side bolts down.

I really like the compact fit and tight look. With a 1Up rack, proper mountain bike bars seem to have ample clearance with the rear window. I think this will be solid in the long run.

I've had nothing but excellent experience with eTrailer! Thank you!

by:

Very all-around good experience.
Communication
and assistance was great.
Products look great and well packaged.
Thanks

by:

Very useful guidance from Ric D over the phone to get the right unit. Installed by our local mechanic on 2018 Chrysler Pacifica (Hybrid). It took them 2 hours of shop time (not including the wiring which we chose not to do). We will use it to haul 4 bikes next week.

by:

Ultimately, the hitch went on (1 star for that) and looks good (one star for that) for a total of three stars. The installation though was not as advertised.

“Grounding stud” hole too small. Yep, had that. Had to “nudge” the stud a little with a hammer to get the hitch in position. This ultimately constrained the position of it so that, no matter how much I ground on the frame (for reasons left completely unexplained in the instructions but other reviews suggest it’s to help with carbon canister clearance) the hitch wasn’t going to move anyway!

Which brings me to the carbon canister clearance. Had to modify that (also not in the instructions) so that it cleared the carriage bolts and nuts. This wasn’t hard since the canister mounting brackets are plastic but completely unexpected and appears to have been addressed by Draw-Tite with a $100 auxiliary bracket. One other issue is that, on tightening, the carriage bolt spacers rotate into the carbon canister nutplate and cause it to misalign with the (large) hole in the frame for it. To get around this, I placed the canister mounting bolt, torqued the carriage bolt nuts, then removed the bolt, ground the frame hole, and installed a new bolt as the 6mm 10.9 bolt from the kit had no threads left.

Another one - the underbody panel trimming dimensions are not even close! See the photo. They’re off by nearly two inches from side to side and three inches along the length of the vehicle which, at the end of the day, doesn’t impact function but makes for a very frustrating and ultimately, ugly end result. How this is off by this much, I can’t begin to understand. Photos are included and I’m hopeful this can help someone get it right(er than I did).

CURT! Please repeat this installation, revise the instructions and pay more attention to the Hybrid version. etrailer should do the same for the Hybrid with a video. I shouldn’t have to scour the reviews (reviewers, thank you for helping to bail me out and, yes, I’m wishing I would have read them ahead of time because I wouldn’t have bought this).

I’ve done three other hitches including one Curt and two Draw Tites (and many other car projects) with zero issues. This one though took 5 hours and one unexpected trip to the hardware store for a new 6mm carbon canister screw. Not fun at all.

Recommend against this hitch :(

  • Which Curt Trailer Hitch For 2021 Chrysler Pacifica Limited Non-Hybrid
Hey there Tom, good question as you correctly noted a couple Curt hitches for your 2021 Chrysler Pacifica Limited non-hybrid. The appropriate one for you really depends on how you want it to look on your Pacifica. One has a visible crosstube and one has a hidden crosstube. If you take a look below you can see the differences, and here are the part numbers for both: - Hidden Crosstube: Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C65CR - Visible Crosstube: Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13383 They otherwise...

  • Can I Carry A Hitch Mounted Bike Rack Or Cargo Carrier With My 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid
Great news! We do offer a a hitch for your 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. I recommend the Curt Class III Round Tube Receiver Hitch part # C13383 because the 2" hitch will be the most versatile when it comes to accessories like bike racks. There are more options to fit the 2" hitch compared to the 1-1/4" hitch. The Curt 2" hitch is a glossy black powder no drill-installation hitch that can handle up to 400 lbs of tongue weight. • Best Option for Bike Rack on 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid
Your best option for a 3-bike rack would be to use a hitch, the Curt # C13383, which is a fit for your vehicle, and a hitch-mounted bike rack. The reason for this is the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top 3 Bike Rack HRF2-3 must be attached to a trunk or hatch lid made of steel and because your 2017 Chrysler Pacifica hybrid does not have that, you will not want to use this rack. In addition, I do not recommend using the Yakima trunk-mounted racks that fit your Pacifica either, because the upper...

Hello Tim. For the Curt # C13383 hitch, there is a chance you will need to enlarge the holes for both Hybrid and non hybrid models. It completely depends on the size of the holes in the frame rail. There can be some variances in the size of these holes.
