Question:
I am installing the Curt C24VV brake controller on a 2007 F-250 King Ranch. I have read some reviews that say it drains their battery when they leave it connected. I pretty much only drive the truck when I am pulling a my camper, so it sits for a while sometimes. Should I unplug the controller when I am parking the truck for a few weeks? And, if so, is it ok to drive it without the controller plugged in if Im not towing anything? Thank you for your help! I just want to make sure nothing will get screwed up.

The short answer is no, the Curt TriFlex Trailer Brake Controller # C24VV does not need to be unplugged from your 2007 Ford F-250 when you are not using it.
This brake controller, which will plug into your truck with the Curt Custom Wiring Adapter # C51372, enters power conservation mode after 30 minutes of not being used and it would take months and months for it to have any affect on your truck's battery. A few weeks without power will not affect your truck whatsoever.
