Will Mach-C Everest System Operate Existing Furnace

hello, i have an Advent 13.5k btu that cant keep up. Want to install coleman Mach C everest complete kit. Will this still work with my current heat furnace controls? thanks in advance. Gene.

Hey Gene! Mach-C Everest Variable Speed RV AC System # CM35MR will work with your existing furnace. This is a complete replacement so you will install the new rooftop unit, air distribution box, and wall thermostat. The new Coleman thermostat will control the AC as well as your furnace. This will be a really nice upgrade over the Advent that will keep you cool in almost any conditions.

What kind of trailer do you have and where do you usually go camping?

Thanks for the help.! That answers what I need to pull the trigger. I have a crossroads Volante 310bh. We use it for travel work in Texas. Hottt and need a serious upgrade

Hate to piggy back off of this but may be helpful to others as well. How do you attach your furnace to the unit/ thermostat? I know it has a 12v and a furnace wire but I'm trying to understand how to make this work with my Atwood furnace.

@J-rod the furnace connects at the Everest control box rather than directly to the wall thermostat. You will connect the furnace's call-for-heat wire to the furnace lead on the Everest control box, and the Everest thermostat will then control the furnace through that connection.

@RobinH so does that mean I should run the 12volt wire from the furnace and the other leg that was on my thermostat to the brown furnace wire off the AC unit?

@J-rod no, you don't want to connect both wires to the brown furnace wire. Of the two wires that were connected to your old thermostat, use a multimeter to identify which one has 12V power. Cap off that powered wire, and connect the other, non-powered furnace wire to the brown furnace wire on the Everest. I believe that matches what Kevin did exactly in the installation video below.
