Hi Kyle, Thank you for the reply. I am still not happy about the trailer hitch touching my spare tire. It can’t be good for my spare to be touching. I am sure hitch and tire are secure, but the spare is not sitting exactly correct. Would a draw tight hitch be better?

Thank you for the photo; unfortunately there really is no "fix" for the Curt Trailer Hitch # 13530 touching the spare tire on your 2008 Lexus RX 350. While I can understand wanting to lower the spare a bit during the install, that can cause an issue like what you are experiencing. The spare tire is going to be directly above this hitch cross tube and so long as both the hitch and spare are properly secured and the hitch was torqued to the specs in the directions it is perfectly secure and won't go anywhere.
