Can Spacers be Used to Raise the Height of a 2013 Keystone Cougar 27RKS

Question:
I have a 2013 Keystone Cougar 27RKS 5th wheel. I have been towing it with a 2013 F150 4X4 with a 3.5L Ecoboost. Trailer height and bed rail clearance was not an issue with this setup. I recently purchased a 2019 F250 4X4 diesel and now have an issue with getting the trailer to set level while keeping enough clearance at the bed rails. When I purchased the truck, i knew that i was going to need to raise the trailer height to keep it level, but I thought that i could just flip the axles. When I was ready to do this I found that the axles were already underneath the leaf springs from the factory. I know that Lippert makes an alignment kit that raises the trailer by 2 inches, but I need about 5 inches to get the trailer level. My thought for doing this is to use the Lippert alignment kit and add 3 inch spacer blocks between the axles and the leaf springs. Any thoughts as to whether this would be an acceptable way of getting the additional 5 inches of height?

We have heard of people using spacer blocks to raise the height of their trailer along with the over-under conversion kit you referenced or the Tandem Axle Lift Kit # RR23QX and everything seemed to work okay so I would say you can use it to raise the height of your 2013 Keystone Cougar 27RKS but it isn't the best or recommended option.
The best option would be to use tall hangers to make up the difference. This means that you wouldn't be using longer U-Bolts that may not have been rated for the weight of your trailer. I have attached a link to our selection of hangers that you can filter through to find the correct ones for your application. Please note that raising the height of your trailer an additional 5" will affect the way that it maneuvers in high wind and cornering situations.
