Question:
Hey there! Im a rookie.. and recently bought a camper. Its already equipped with a 1000 watt inverter built in. Im looking @ a generator.. but not clear on whether I can NEED a 4500 watt duel fuel inverter generator.. or if a standard 4500 watt duel fuel will do?? My ac is also 15000 btu. 30 amp. Please advise... wise one.

A 15k btu AC unit is going to pull up to 3,500 watts when starting up and then 1,800 watts when running. If this is all you'd basically be running then the etrailer.com generator part # 333-0005 would work well. You'd need to bypass your 1,000 watt inverter though since your AC pulls more than that.
If you plan to run several accessories in your RV you'd need to step up to the etrailer 6,000-Watt Portable Inverter Generator # 333-0003-2-0007 which can support 6,000 watts starting and 5,500 watts running.
