Question:
Will Gen-Y Anti-Rattle Clamp for 2 inch Hitch Receivers Item # 325-GH-033 fit Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Gloss Black Finish - Class III - 2 Item # C86HR? Theres a rather large lip around the receivers opening. Regards

Expert Reply:
The Gen-Y Anti-Rattle Clamp for 2" Hitch Receivers # GY88XR is actually designed to fit over the shank of a ball mount or accessory that fits into a 2-inch trailer hitch like the Curt Trailer Hitch # C86HR that fits certain model year Ford F-150's and F-150 Raptors.
So, the short answer is yes, the clamp will absolutely work with the hitch, but it does not go around the lip, it will actually go into the receiver and then you'll tighten it.
If you take a look at the linked video review it shows how the clamp works. I have also added a link to a video of the hitch being installed on an F-150 for you to take a look at.

2018 F150 4x4. ProPride 3P hitch. 27' 6,000 pound trailer. Have towed almost 11,000 miles over two years and quite a bit of slack is formed between the PP hitch and the truck receiver. I have tried metal wedges, but the metal must be too soft. They deform - compress to almost breaking in half - after 300 miles. Will your Gen-Y anti rattle clamp work and is the steel hard enough?
