Question:
Hi, I have a 2015 Silverado 1500 LTZ. I have no 12v constant power at the trailer plug, I checked the fuse #2 under the hood and it is good and there is power there. All the other plug pins work - brake, left turn, right turn, reverse light. Any help would be much appreciated Thanks

In certain cases, the 12 volt power circuit for the 7-way trailer connector on your 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 will still need to be completed under the hood on the power distribution center. If you take a look at the attached photo, you will see the red 12 volt power wire with a ring terminal that will need to be connected to the M8 stud on the power distribution center with a flange nut like part # 185917.
If the above red 12 volt power wire is not present underneath your brake booster then odds are there is a short in the 12 volt power wire that leads from the 7-way to the power distribution center. If this is the case then you will need to trace the wire as far back as possible while checking for breaks. This can something be hard as most of the wire will be deep within the main harness so if this is the case I recommend just running a new one to the battery with part # 10-1-1 and part # PK54540.
