Question:

Hi, One of the keys for my skybox broke lucky for me, not inside the lock have the spare key which works, but would like to get a spare key made. Local Lowes and Home Depot cannot make the key. How can I get a spare key made from the original one I already have? Thanks in advance

Instead of getting a spare key made for a Yakima SkyBox NX Roof Cargo Box such as # Y95AV you will need to purchase a new key. All you need to know is the key number; if you are unsure of the key number you will need to use Control Key # Y8007835, which you may already have, and take a look at the number on the side of the lock core, which will be stamped on the core (see accompanying photo).

You can then find the correct replacement key. For example, the Replacement Key for Yakima Racks and Carriers - A155 # Y8772-A155 would be the correct replacement for a lock core that had "A155" stamped on it.
