This is going to replace one of the M6 Wing Knobs that originally came with your Thule Trail XT, Canyon, or Canyon XT Cargo Basket. And because this is a direct replacement, you can trust it is gonna fit right in place of that original. And so if you've lost the original or it's become broken, damaged, whatever the case may be, this is gonna be exactly what you're gonna need. You don't need to worry about compatibility issues or anything like that.

I needed wing nuts to secure the foot brace of my whitewater kayak. Squirrels had chewed the plastic right down to the metal nut!! (See attached photo.) No hardware store had them in stock, so I spent a lot of time searching the internet for “M6 Wing Nuts.” WooHoo [Thumbs Up] etrailer had them for a completely unrelated application!!! I ordered 4 with fingers crossed... they were PERFECT!! My foot brace is now secure, and it can be adjusted to fit a different sized person. Thanks for having a good description on the internet!!!!!
These were a great replacement for my original Thule M6 low knobs (that include the captured nut). I cleaned, repainted and rebuilt my 10 year old Thule Sidearm bike carriers and needed new hardware because about half of the knobs had broken and fallen off. These are nicely made and worked great. They did not come with the little "e" decals as shown in the picture which was great as I didn't have to remove them. My Thule carriers look brand new. Steve was super helpful in getting me the right products. I highly recommend etrailer.
