Can Yakima SkyBox NX 18 Rooftop Cargo Box Fit Round and Aero Crossbars

Question:
etrailer lists this as compatible with round bars but the Yakima factory site lists it as compatible with StremLine or aerodynamic bars. Is that a typo here or an oversight on the Yakima site? Is it really compatible with round bars? I am looking to use it sometimes with a 2008 Nissan Frontier but also at times with a 2019 nuCamp TAG XL Boondock trailer that has a roof rack with Yakima round bars.

Hey John, the Yakima SkyBox NX 18 Rooftop Cargo Box # Y45AV that you referenced is compatible with round bars and aero shaped bars. The mounting hardware can clamp on to either bar shape and work really well. I attached a picture down below that shows what the clamp looks like.

Hey John, how did the SkyBox NX 18 end up working with the round bars on your TAG XL Boondock trailer? It’d be great to know if the clamps held securely on both your setups. Your feedback could help others using similar Yakima racks.
