Question:
Thx for the reply back. My mechanic recommends the item # d13950 with two fittings, d13035. I have a Magnuson Supercharger on the truck This truck has 600 hp to the wheels. There are other upgrades as well, brakes, exhaust, suspension, and a upgrade in the programming as well. This shop is a performance shop for cars and trucks. The # d13504 is less money, but is the #d13950 better, even if is for a 5.3 v8? Like your opinion please.

For a transmission cooler that will work well in your 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with the 6.2L V8 engine, I recommend the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit part # D13504. The Derale Series 8000 is going to install in front of the ac condenser and behind the grille. It is 11" wide x 12" tall x 7/8" deep which is plenty for your transmission so long as you are on the open road and not in a lot of stop and go traffic.
If you do find yourself in a bunch of stop and go traffic then you will want to consider a remote mount transmission cooler such as the Derale 16-Pass Electra-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler Kit part # D15900 which will provide maximum cooling capacity no matter the state of motion or airflow to the vehicle's grille. This also allows for a much larger variety of mounting locations.
In order to install either transmission cooler you will need to use the Derale Snap-In Radiator Adapter Fitting for GM part # D13035. I have attached sample install videos for you.
