Question:
Hi I have a 2008 ford f150 lariat 4x4 with aftermarket Roush supercharger 35inch aftermarket wheels with tow package so I have the extra tranny cooler, my question is would it be better to remove the extra factory transmission cooler and install this with a fan or can you install in line with the factory and have 2 coolers? My main problem is when strolling around town with boat/trailer on a warm day my temps get to 220 to 230.

The aftermarket transmission coolers that we sell are designed to work with a factory installed unit. These coolers are not intended to replace the original factory cooler.
For your vehicle, adding just an addition cooler will help cool down your transmission. The stacked-plate transmission cooler design, like # D13401, is the I recommend for your 2008 Ford F-150. The stacked-plate design will give you the most efficient cooling option for your set up. This cooler also only measures 2 inches wide to allow for more clearance when installing on your vehicle.
I have attached an article that will give you more information on installing a transmission cooler for you to review.
The cooler that you referenced # D15950, can be installed on your vehicle. However, this is a heavy duty model that would be overkill for your application. Also this unit is bigger which could make installation difficult on your vehicle.
