Does Wiring Harness for 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Require Activating Tow Package Wiring Circuit

Question:
2018 Jeep GC Laredo with factory installed wiring harness but no connector and fuses . Tested voltage with a volt meter and found 1 lead to have 12 volts but does not change when I hit the brakes. Do I have to have Jeep enable harness???

If your 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee has the factory tow package and you are using the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harnesse # C55774 you will need to go to your local Jeep dealer and have them re-flash your Jeep's computer in order to activate the tow package wiring circuit.
