Question:

What trailer hitch and wiring should I use on my 2018 Toyota Sienna XLE? I plan on using a bike rack mainly but I would like the option to tow a small trailer if need be.

The best trailer hitch for your 2018 Toyota Sienna XLE is the etrailer.com # e98853. This is a Class III trailer hitch with a 2" receiver. It features a matte black finish that hides scratches really well, a concealed crosstube, and the best clearance compared to other trailer hitches which is key when using accessories.

Then for wiring I recommend the Tekonsha T-One # 118648. This plugs in behind your tail lights and then draws power directly from your battery so that the OEM wiring on your Sienna is not affected if your trailer wiring goes bad.

You also need a ball mount kit like part # C45036 to complete your towing setup. I have attached a helpful article that you can check out to make sure the 2" drop for this ball mount will work for your towing application if you ever do need to tow.

If you don't already have a bike rack then I recommend the Yakima FullSwing # Y02465. This is a hanging style bike rack that allows you to carry up to 4 bikes (weight capacity is 160 lbs) and has a swinging arm so that you can gain full access to your rear hatch area.
