Features to know about

Get More Out of Every Drive: Add a Class III 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver

With a 3,500-lb maximum gross trailer weight and 525-lb tongue weight rating, this hitch is built for everyday use. It’s perfect for towing small trailers, hauling a boat to the lake, or carrying a cargo basket or bike rack. The 2" x 2" receiver opening gives you the flexibility to use a wide range of towing and hitch-mounted accessories without needing any adapters.

Keep It Looking Clean: Concealed Cross Tube Design

The square-tube crossbar tucks up and under the rear trim so only the receiver and safety chain loops are visible. You get strong towing capability without a bulky bar hanging below the bumper. The clean, streamlined look matches well with vehicles that already have a refined design, all while keeping solid ground clearance for driveways and uneven terrain.

Built to Last Through Weather and Road Grime: Powder-Coated Steel Construction

This fully welded hitch is made from sturdy steel and finished with a gloss black powder coat over a protective base coat for superior rust resistance. The precision, robotic welding maximizes strength and ensures consistent fitment. It’s designed to handle years of exposure to rain, salt, and road debris without corroding or flaking.

Simple Bolt-On Install: No Welding or Special Tools Required

The hitch bolts directly to the frame using existing mounting points—no drilling or welding needed. It comes with all necessary hardware and detailed instructions, so it’s a straightforward project whether you’re installing it in your garage or driveway. Once torqued down, it’s ready for whatever hauling or accessory setup you have planned.

This hitch is amazing! Easy to install and nicely tucks under the rear bumper fascia so it doesn't hang down so far. Don't use the printed instructions though; use the video and save yourself a lot of hassle. My second hitch from etrailer. Great service!

by:

I had bought the different model number that wasn’t concealed from somewhere else. I saw e trailers install video of the concealed hitch model and quickly realized I needed to switch models so I didn’t have to cut a bunch of plastic and have the bar showing. I was worried about shipping because we were on a time crunch, I received my product in less than 48 hours and was able to install quickly and with ease with the help of etrailers video! etrailer for the win!

by:

Hitch fit like a glove. Fit and finish were excellent.
I followed the directions on etrailer's website (Thank you) This hitch is primarily going to be used for a bike rack but also occasionally towing a small boat.

I would recommend a second set of hands when installing. It was heavy to do solo.

by:

Ordered on Monday before Thanksgiving and it arrive Friday AM! Well packaged. Great instructions. I watched the installation videos prior to it arriving so I had a basic idea of what I needed to do. It took me about 2 hours with just auto ramps and my 11 year old son. We managed to get the passenger side in first which allows you to avoid removing the exhaust hanger. It is a little tricky but manageable, getting the hitch tucked in to the area between the gas tank and bumper skin with the 2 tabs that are fixed on the frame. All in all looks great and was easy to install thanks to etrailer! It’s my second hitch from them and yet another awesome experience. PS also love the live tracking as it gets packed to shipped and all along the route??

by:

I fought this install for hours. Both sides of this hitch were out of square. 1/4” on one side, 7/8” on the other. Put it in my bench vise and bent it into shape. Did it very carefully so as not to ruin the powder coat finish. Bolted up easy after that.

etrailer customer service was great and very responsive. Arranged to ship me a replacement quickly, which wasn’t necessary in the end.

Three stars only because I shouldn’t have to (or be able to) bend my trailer hitch in a bench vise. It’s bonkers, but it worked:

by:

Watched the installation video on the website which was very helpful. They recommend loosening the exhaust and bending down two tabs holding the appearance panel. I was able to skip this with the help of my son. Total time was about one hour. I found the item to be heavy for one person. I used a floor jack to help hold it while I bolted it in. Shipping was fast even with a holiday and it was very well packaged. Straightforward installation. Receiver is high enough that it does not bottom when pulling into the driveway. Use it for a bike rack on road trips with no issues.

by:

Super easy to install and looks factory. It's a good idea to follow the simple etrailer install video than follow the instructions that were provided, which recommends that you take off the bumper. There were some scratches and scuff marks on the trailer which could have happened during delivery - box was torn open slightly when I got it. Other than that, I'm happy once again with etrailer's pricing and tutorial video.

by:

Hitch went on easily in 59 minutes. (Tried to beat the expert time). Had tools set up ahead of time and a friend to help hold in place while fastening. I did not take the bumper piece off, and just slid the hitch up behind it as demonstrated in the video. The stickers Toyota used to protect the weld nuts worked great. There was no rust on the 4 year old sienna(2016) that has been driven through three Minnesota salty winters.

by:

Since I was installing this solo in the driveway, I had to figure out a way to lift and get it into place. Using a large floor car jack with wheels and a long handle, I could maneuver and lift the device into place while I worked the bolts by hand. NOTE: not mentioned in the shee that came with it, was the need to bend two bolts out of the way for installation, and then bend the bolts back into place. These are the two closes the the back hitch location that you use a giant Philips screwdriver to remove the skid plate from. The cardboard box itself is great for sliding underneath the vehicle.

by:

The trailer hitch receiver was easy to install, with clear instructions. I was even able to do it myself. The only caveat I would add is that it may not be necessary to drop the exhaust, and that was the most time-consuming part of the installation because it took me so long to get those rubber isolators off their mounts, and then back on.

by:

Arrived well packaged and a perfect fit. I removed the rear bumper rather than bend the support tabs (re video) With the bumper removed I had better access.
The curt instructions in step 3 and the etrailer video have a minor error: there are 3 tape covers over the weld nuts and one rubber plug on each side. The rubber plug does not need to be removed - only the 3 tape covers.
To improve underside access I jacked up the rear onto jack stands and then balanced the hitch on a garage jack using a hitch mount and as a counter weight. With that I was able to maneuver the hitch into place w/o an assistant. Note the install washers are conical not flat - install with the dimples towards the body.
The instructions suggest cutting out 4 in x 7 in from the mud panel however 3 5/8 was plenty assuming the cut is accurately centered. Tin snips worked well.
Neat installation - the cross bar is not visible

by:

Perfect fit. The installation instructions were very helpful and provided enough detail to prepare for the job and execute the job with no problems.

Since I did not have a lift, I used a cinder block and leftover pieces of 2x4 and hardwood flooring to prop up the receiver prior to installing the bolts. I used the shipping box to slide the equipment into position. The box also acted as a back cushion.

by:

Nice low profile hitch for a Sienna. Easy to install. I installed it by myself. I highly recommend having a helper to lift it into place. Also, if you don’t have access to a lift—which I suspect is most people—get yourself some car ramps and chocks because you’ll need room to maneuver. (That’s the annoying thing about installation videos—including eTrailer’s: who has a lift in their home garage?)

by:

Can’t complain about anything. I installed this hitch on my 2018 Toyota Sienna LE AWD with a friend. We required some tools (plastic pry tools, shears to cut plastic body panels, wrenches, jack and stands, etc.). The hitch keeps my Thule four bike rigidly attached. The only wiggle or slop I feel is in the rack and not the hitch.

by:

This arrived earlier than expected with good instructions as well as the video you sent which was very helpful. You made it easy to find the right hitch through your online ordering process. The price was very good, too. Thanks!

by:

Solid made hitch that was easy to insta ll.

by:

Easy install. Very clean looking hitch. The only part that's visible is the receiver. This is way better than a factory installed Toyota hitch.

After one year this trailer hitch is going strong and looking good. 4 inch rise for the ball works good.

Works great and the profile is real small on our Toyota Sienna. Also very easy to install yourself. The instructions are very easy to follow.

We have had zero issues with this hitch. It still looks good and is very solid.

by:

Hitch was a perfect fit. Installation video was very helpful—much better than what came inside the box. Hitch installation only took an hour. Very happy with my purchase. Also installed wiring harness as seen in photo. That took a little longer as wiring installation video available was for 2018. 2019 had some slight changes behind panel and underneath the car—but was easy to improvise a solution. Thank you etrailer for the videos!!!

Hitch is solid! No issues. Used it for our Curt 5-bike rack and a 8’ x 4’ utility trailer. Great investment and reasonable cost—saved a bundle when you install yourself. Before you say you can’t do it, watch the etrailer videos...they will change your mind.

by:

Quick delivery, easy install of the hitch with two people. Definitely watch the installation videos as the paper directions can become confusing at times. As suggested,I did NOT remove the bumper. Also, I did cover the holes where the rubber plugs were removed with the stickers that covered up the weld nut holes and duct tape to keep debris out. Will work out great for bike rack and small trailer towing. I also like that it is tucked away behind the vertical plane of the bumper so that its not a shin bitter. :)

I ordered this hitch on Wednesday (with free shipping), received it on Friday and installed it on Saturday. It fits perfectly on my 2015 Sienna. I had a Drawtite hitch installed which I removed to install this Curt concealed hitch. The Drawtite kept bottoming out with a light duty trailer attached. I installed this by myself, but a second person would be helpful. It took me roughly 2 hours total to remove the Drawtite and install this one. I backed the car up on ramps and loosened the tailpipe hanger behind the right rear wheel. Here is the way I did the 2-man job by myself (I'm 73 yrs. old). After removing the old hitch, I loosely put one bolt (just a couple of turns) in the forward most hitch mounting hole on each side. Then I lifted the hitch and tied it loosely to each of these 2 bolts. Then I was able to maneuver the concealed part of the hitch behind the rear fascia, following the instructions on the etrailer video. After the hitch was in place, I opened the trunk and tied the 2" receiver just below the fascia loosey to the trunk latch. At this point the hitch was loosely suspended in position. I removed the tied up end and bolt from one side and screwed it loosely in place and then did the same for the other side. To finish up I inserted, tightened up and torqued all six bolts. This hitch has no place to attach the wiring plug, so you have to be creative there. All in all a great experience dealing with etrailer and a perfectly fitting, nearly invisible hitch.

After a year this hitch is still working as expected. A greeat purchase.

by:

Just got it installed and it looks great! It was installed by DP Auto Service located on Connecticut Ave, Washington DC. Purchased the trailer receiver from E-Trailer and it was delivered on time. Ordering process was easy and they provided a fit guide to ensure you purchase the correct trailer.

by:

Everything arrived very quickly, and was boxed well to ensure it arrived undamaged. Instructions were straightforward enough to get the receiver installed in just over an hour. Save your time when cutting the notch in the underbody panel… use some heavy duty shears or tin snips rather than a rotary tool. The plastic is thin enough the shears went through like butter. Great looking and heavy duty. Very pleased with the workmanship.

by:

Really good experience with etrailer. Ordered this online and received within about a week. Package came in good shape and wife was able to get it inside on her own. Hardware package was taped to the hitch as to avoid it sliding around during transit (or falling through any rips in the box). Found a local company that was able to put it on the next day and they had me in and out in 45 minutes (I assume it is pretty easy to do on your own but I do not have any of the right tools).

Bought this "hidden" hitch for my 2017 Sienna and I've been very pleased with it. Looks good and works great, and the price was fair too. Relatively straightforward installation. Thumbs up all round!

I can absolutely help with choosing a trailer hitch for your 2020 Toyota Sienna that will give you the best ground clearance.
