Question:

I have a 2015 Chevy Sonic RS Turbo with a manual transmission. Can I flat tow this?? The owners manual says the Sonic RS with automatic transmission cannot be flat towed - Im wondering if the manual transmission would be okay.

The 2015 Chevy Sonic RS Turbo with Manual transmission is towable. You will want to follow the instructions in the owners manual for procedures. They recommend running the vehicle for 5 minutes prior to towing so you will have proper lubrication of the transmission components. It is also recommended to not tow over 65 mph.

I recommend starting with the Roadmaster EZ5 Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-523173-5 for your custom fit base plates and then using the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar # RM-520 and safety cables # RM-643.

Then for your wiring, I recommend the Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit with Bulbs # RM-155 and the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass - 13" - 20-Amp Mini-Fuse # RM76511 to allow you to simply flip a switch versus pulling a fuse each time.

For your braking, I recommend the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251 which will allow a simple plug and play system after installation. You will simply flip a switch and then be ready to tow. You will need the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit - Chevrolet Sonic # RM-751457 so your RV monitoring system knows when your tow vehicle brakes are being applied.

Finally, you will need a high low adapter compatible with your motorhome and vehicle. I've attached an article to assist in determining the correct fit for the safe zone. I've also linked the page to your options for your convenience.
