Class I Ball Mount to Allow for Total Hitch Ball Height of 17-Inches on 2014 BMW 428i
Question:
What ball mount do I need to get to a 17” ball height on my 2014 BMW 428i? I’d be using your C11367 hitch. I’d be pulling a snowmobile trailer. Sorry, my car is 1,000 miles away and I can’t measure the bumper height.

When we installed the Curt Class I hitch # C11367 on a 2014 BMW 4-Series coupe we found that the height of receiver opening was 11-inches above ground level. This is shown in both the linked photo and installation video. Since there are two stock tires sizes offered on the car, P225/50-17 and P255/40-18, the actual height of your vehicle could differ from the one in the video.
The recommended Curt Ball Mount is part # C45521 which has 2-5/8-inches of rise and can be used with a ball like 1-7/8-inch # A-80 or 2-inch # A-82. The next one up in terms of rise is Curt # C45021 which has 4-inches of rise. To account for the normal squat of the car's rear from the trailer tongue weight the 4-inch rise is probably the better option.
