I reached out to Stealth Hitches and they did confirm that their Hidden Rack Receiver # SH84VR will fit with the M-Sport diffuser on your 2017 BMW M340i without having to trim the diffuser.

We have the Stealth Hitches Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver w/ Towing Kit # SH33VR which is the same receiver but includes the Towing Kit w/ Ball Mount and Trailer Wiring # 391CONVA7 in the event you will be trailer towing or need to use Auxiliary Lights # C53201. These additional lights will be needed in the event your hitch mounted accessory impairs the view of your tail lights on your BMW.
