The square-tube design is precision-welded by a robotic process that locks in strength and alignment. A gloss black powder coat finish over a protective base coat fights rust and road grime, so the hitch keeps looking good after years of use. This combination of heavy-duty steel and durable coating means you can count on consistent performance every time you hitch up.
Installing this hitch doesn’t require special equipment or cutting. It uses a bolt-on design with holes that align to existing factory points, so you can mount it using basic hand tools and the included hardware. The concealed cross tube also helps keep a clean, unobtrusive look under the rear bumper once everything’s tightened down.
Once the hitch is in place, just add your compatible drawbar setup to start towing. Use ball mount?# 3593 for the correct rise/drop, pair it with either the?# 19256?(1-7/8") or?# 19258?(2") hitch balls, and secure it with a pin and clip. According to Curt, the heat shield should be removed and not reinstalled. The hitch itself will serve as a heat shield.

Have had absolutely no issues this last year! Got an add-on for my 1up so its now a 2up and the receiver works perfectly!
