Question:
I am purchasing 2018 Ford edge titanium with tow package. Not sure if it comes with the 4 pole flat plug or 7 pole round. I am looking to add a electric brake control. Do you make a plug and play harness like the one for the f150 for my vehicle

There isn't a quick-install brake controller port on a 2018 Ford Edge Titanium with a tow package for installing a brake controller. In fact the only brake controller we offer that can fit the versions of the 2018 Ford Edge Titanium with the tow package and 7-way is the Prodigy RF part # TK94FR which is a wireless controller that mounts on the trailer.
Let me know when you pick out the Edge and what trailer wiring it has at the rear of it and what brake controller you'd like to install if you don't want to use the RF. I really like the RF but some people prefer a permanently mounted controller. With more info I can come up with a specific solution that might work around some of the constraints of your vehicle.

I have a 2021 Ford Edge Titanium AWD with the 53G Class II towing package. This package comes with a 4-pin flat connector and some sort of sway control software, same as the original poster, except for the year. The trailer I want to tow has trailer brakes and a 7-blade round connector. I want to use it’s trailer brakes. I contacted my local Ford dealer’s service department, assuming I need a brake controller and 4-pin to 4-pin plus 7-blade adapter/harness. After a day and a half in the shop, that Ford dealership told me I only need a 4-to-7 adapter, first offering to get the Ford OEM part (I assume Control Module - Ford E1GZ-19H332-B ?) and later telling me Ford doesn’t have the part and I should get it from AutoZone. (I hope that a hint of my frustration is coming through...) Yes, I’ve looked for videos and tutorials on line, but none I’ve found address my vehicle. Even etrailer parts are listed for “without factory Tow Package,” except for the Prodigy RF shown on this page. What parts/kits/etc do I actually need to get this vehicle set up to tow a trailer with electric brakes? Of those available, which do you recommend? Will I need to modify any factory programing? ...and since I’m too old and fat to be crawling underneath my car anymore, where do you recommend I get the job done (i.e. another Ford dealership, RV dealership, reputable local mechanic, etc...)? Thanks for whatever help you can offer,
