Absolutely! For your 2017 Ford Edge, I recommend using either the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90885 or the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195. The P2 and P3 are our two top selling brake controllers due to their integrated safeguards and built-in diagnostic checks. The main difference between the two is that the P3 has a nicer display with larger easy to use buttons.

In order to install either of the above brake controllers you are going to first need a 4-way trailer connector if you do not already have one and for this I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118669 for SE and SEL models or part # 118677 for Sport and Titanium models. Neither of these harnesses will require you to cut or splice any wires as they are both almost entirely plug and play.

Once you have a 4-way installed you are then going to need a 4 to 7-way adapter and for this I recommend the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller part # ETBC7 which also comes with everything else you will need to install a brake controller. I have attached install videos of this whole process for you

@WilliamJ we don't have an installation video for a 2015 Ford Edge with the tow package. The closest thing we have is the video attached below for a 2016 where a 7-way was also installed using the # ETBC7. If you have a 4-way right now you also need the # ETBC7 to add a 7-way before the brake controller installation. If you already have a 7-way it won't be exactly the same but you can use it as a guide. If you're having trouble identifying factory wiring to connect the brake controller I would reach out to a local dealer to see if they have any information on it.
