Question:
I have a 1996 Jayco Jay Series 1206 Pop Up. I bought this used and the camper came with 20.5x8.0-10 tires. I was wondering, can I get larger tires, meaning taller tires for my camper without having to do any modifications to the axel or anything. I just don’t like how this camper is so low to the ground. I want to get it a little higher. And I’m going to need new tires and rims soon, so I’d rather get taller tires and rims if I can.

To go with a larger tire diameter will require additional clearance that judging by looking at your picture it doesn't seem you have. It looks like a really tight fit from your picture so it most likely wouldn't fit but the next larger size would be a 5.30-12 which will take up an additional 3/4 of an inch of wheel clearance. If you have a 4 lug bolt pattern you could use the part # AM30780 or if you have a 5 lug part # TA78RR.
Looking at your picture it looks like your trailer is sitting nose high which is the reason you are having clearance issues with the ground at the rear of the trailer. If you can get the trailer sitting level by using a ball mount with more drop that will drastically help. I attached a help article to this page that details how to pick out the correct ball mount based on the rise/drop you'd need for you to check out as well.
