Replacement Lock and Knob for a Yakima DoubleDown Ace

Will this part also work in my older model Yakima Doubledown Ace? I have the wedge part but broke off the lock mechanism in a an accident, and now cant tighten the rack in the hitch wobbles.

I do have an option for you but the Replacement SpeedKnob and Wedge Assembly part # 8880508 will not work with the Yakima DoubleDown Ace 2, 4, or 5. In order to replace the knob and lock you will need to use the Replacement Tongue Assembly part # 8890340 as they not available separately.

There is a way for you to reduce the rattle, also called play, with the Yakima DoubleDown. I recommend using Curt Stabilizing Straps #18050, which will significantly lessen the amount of wobbling you are experiencing. I've added a link to a…

I checked with Yakima and the only way to get the replacement knob you are looking for is with the Replacement Tongue Assembly part #8890340 that you mentioned.
