Upgrading Camper Lights to LED and Clearance Lights with Brake and Turn Signal Functions

Question:

Id like to switch out the incandescent marker lights on my camper with LEDs. At the same time, Id like to make the two rear clearance lights double as brake and turn lights but having all the lights be the same shape and size. Can this be done?

Yes, you can upgrade to LED lights and have a double light set up in the rear with stop, tail, and turn light functions. But what I need to know is if the camper has the brake lights and turn signals on the same bulb or if it has separate amber turn signals.

And if the camper does have combined brake and turn signals do you want to keep it that way or do you want to have separate turn signal and brake light circuits?

We have several options for double tail lights, such as # 47-84-610, and even some triple applications such as # 47-84-005 or the unique triple # 328-003-30LEM2.

Depending on if you want combined or separate brake/turn signals you may need additional equipment. Keep in mind that there are lighting requirements for trailers. Take a look at the link I have provided with additional information.

Question:

What I meant was, Id like the rear clearance lights the ones closest to the roof, the two most outer ones to function as turn, stop and marker lights. Id like them all to be of the same design and size. Ultimately, I want to replace all 13 clearance lights 6 amber, 7 red but NOT the factory stop, turn and tail lights.

Ok, so basically you will need to use stop, tail, and turn lights in place of the marker/clearance lights at the top of the trailer since regular clearance and marker lights only have provisions for 1 function.

You can also use the same stop, tail and turn lights to run just the running light function. Your picture didn't make it through so you can email it to me directly by responding to this message.

Right now I am thinking a good option for this would be to use LED tail light # STL76RB. But after I get a better look at your current setup I can make more specific recommendations.
