does it matter which way the switch goes on , is there a wrong way to install a relplacement switch

There isn't a wrong way to install the Replacement Power Switch # EJ-3520-PSW for your Electric Jack # EJ-3520-BBX, just a wrong way to wire it. So long as you wire it like you see in the accompanying photo you won't have any issues.
