How Much Clearance is Needed Between the Bed Rails and Trailer of a Gooseneck Trailer Setup

Question:

Wat is the absolute minimum clearence you should have between the gooseneck neck hitch and your bed sides. I live in the Hills and im in the market for a trailer but dont want to have my bed sides scrap the under side of the hitch.

They say 4-6 inches is the amount of clearance you will want between the bed rails of your truck to the trailer. Since you said you live in the hills you might want to try and be on the high end of that to be safe.
