I have a trailer with 1.5inch x 1.5inch solid steel square axle. What would the cap be on this axle. Yes this is a OLD trailer. OLD but Good.

The axle capacity should be stamped on the frame of the trailer near the coupler of the trailer. It also could be listed somewhere on the axle. I wish there was an industry standard weight capacity for the 1.5 inch by 1.5 inch square solid steel axles but there is not.
If you do not see a weight capacity listed in either of those places you can remove the hubs on your trailer and give me the bearing numbers that are listed on the spindles. I will be able to tell which hubs and spindles you have and then give you the weight capacities for those components.
I attached a video on how to remove and reinstall a trailer hub for you to check out also.
