Worn suspension parts can lead to extra movement and uneven wear over time. These shackle links connect key suspension components and help keep everything working together properly, making them an easy way to restore suspension performance.
Shackle links need to match the suspension setup already on your trailer, so both the center-to-center length and thickness matter. These links measure 3-1/8" from hole center to hole center and are 0.224" thick, giving you the key dimensions to compare before replacing worn links in a compatible 1-3/4" double-eye spring suspension setup.

Hi, everyone. Steven here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at our Lippert replacement shackle links. So, folks, worn-out suspension parts can lead to extra movement, noise, uneven wear and tear, and it can just literally lead from one thing to another problem over time. So although they're little, they're inexpensive to change, they are very important. So these shackle links are going to connect the suspension springs to your rear hanger or your equalizer on your trailer, and they need to be visibly inspected at least once or twice a year, in my opinion.
And these holes, you want to make sure they're perfectly round. Over time, they can get egg shaped or elongated, if you will. And that little bit of slop can cause issues down the road because every time it hits, it's slowly moving something else, right So you want to make sure you're changing these out on a regular basis if they start getting elongated and stuff. The thing I want to do is match them up, so center to center. On these, three and one-eighth inches.
And these are about .224 inches thick. So try to match up the thickness as much as possible as well. And again, these are compatible with one-and-three-quarter-inch-wide double springs as far as your suspension springs and kits. And these work in conjunction with the greasable wet bolts or regular shackle bolts for your suspension parts. Now these have a heavy-duty zinc plating, so that should resist corrosion and rust really, really good from that road grime and all those kind of things.
